上岳村古民居

    上岳村古民居位于佛冈县龙山镇上岳村委会横围片村，距县城27公里，是我省现存规模最大、保存最好的南宋、明清时期的古村落。距今已超过700多年的历史。整个村庄面积有25000平方米。

    在布局上，全村共有18个门楼，108间古民居，分为十八里、村心里、桥头里、左书楼、归仁里等。全村共有37幢108座古民居，每座120平方米，总建筑面积共13000平方米。村四面建有东楼、西楼、南楼、北楼。

    在建筑上，每问房都雕粱画栋，墙壁绘画，青砖到顶、有围墙，属经典的锅耳楼。

    近年，尚未开发的古民居已吸引了不少游人慕名前来游览。在2006年广东国际旅游文化节中，古民居被评为广东省人文历史类“最美丽乡村示范点／区”。2010被评为“中国历文化名村”。2013年，上岳古村落文化旅游开发有限公司成立，与村签订文物保护、文化旅游投资协议，正式开始建设上岳古村落文化旅游景点。

Ancient Residential Buildings of Shangyue Village

    Ancient residential areas of Shangyue Village, located in Longshan town Fogang county, is 27 km away from county town. It is the largest and best-preserved ancient village which was built in Sounthern Song, Ming and Qing dynasties. The history of this ancient village can be traced back to more than 700 years, covering a total area of25,000 square meters.

    On its layout aspects, there’rea total of 18 gatehouse and 108 ancient houses which is divided into eighteen village,cunxin village, qiaotou village, zuoshu house, guiren village and so on. With atotal construction area of 13,000 square meters, the village has 37 buildings and 108 ancient houses in which each of them took about 120m². Four building were built around the village, including East tower, West tower, South Towerand North tower.

    On its construction aspects, itis a kind of classical Guoer building that each room is equipped with carved beams,painted rafters, wall painting, brick ceiling and walls.

    In recent years, the ancient dwellings has attracted many visitors come to visit. In 2006 Guangdong International Tourism and Culture Festival, the ancient dwellings were recognized as the most beautiful countryside demonstration sites/ district by Guangdong Provincial Human history institute. In 2010 it was rated as Chinese historical and cultural village. In 2013, ancient residential areas of Shangyue villagetourism development Co., Ltd. was established, and officially became as a tourist attraction.
