    古龙峡开业以来，取得了辉煌成绩。2007年5月，由国家体育总局主办的“古龙峡杯”全国自然水域漂流人赛在清远古龙峡成功举办，被授予“国家体育总局指定赛道”。2008年6月，国际极限运动联合会为古龙峡授牌：“指定训练基地”。同期，广东51棒奥运火炬手郭庆河、52棒奥运火炬手世界冠军何灼强在古龙峡河道携手传递圣火。

    2008年11月，广东旅游总评榜揭晓，古龙峡成为广东唯一的“最具吸引力漂流”。2009年4月，古龙峡国际漂流基地正式挂牌。2010年3月，古尼峡先后荣获“最受欢迎自驾游景区”、“最刺激的漂流”。

    古龙大峡谷隐逸于茫茫群山之中。在高差数百米的万丈寨群峰的夹峙下，两岸河谷幽深，泉瀑飞泻，崖树斜逸，异草遍被。景物特色可用“奇，隐，俏，巧，幽，旷，惊，险，全，古”十个字概括。清代诗人袁枚以“云开古龙峡，浪腾万丈崖”以及“万山如浪涌，泉鸣溪涌流。浮云脚下踩，松涛景色殊”形容峡谷的壮美幽深。

    浪尖上的过山车——古龙峡漂流，被誉为中国漂流的巅峰之作，高差达678米古龙大峡谷赋予了漂流与众不同的特色，集瀑布、深潭、奇石、丛林、珍稀植物于一体，悬崖对峙、奇峰耸立、滩多水急，银瀑飞溅，人随艇飞，移步换景，自然景色之美令人为止震撼。因峡深壁陡，林荫蔽日，漂流河道终年难见天日，年最高气温仅为24℃，炎炎夏季仍然冰爽宜人。天然瀑布群及溶洞山泉为漂流提供了充沛的水源。

    漂流赛道全程为天然河道，原始丛林遮天蔽日，巨大的落差和陡峭的河床，赋予了古龙峡极限赛道漂流奔放汹涌、虎啸龙腾、狂野豪迈的阳刚之美。

    为配合国际漂流基地的验收工程，在2008年进行过奥运圣火传递、在广东省旅游总评榜唯一荣获“最具吸引力漂流”殊荣的古龙峡漂流，2009年再次获颁旅游总评榜广东“最受欢迎白驾游的景区”，广东旅游风云榜“最刺激漂流”，2010年震撼推出全新改进升级的水上F1国际赛道：全程6063米，落差达378米，最快时速72公里，共分为两个赛段：中国挑战赛道和国际极限赛道，成为目前广东省赛道最长、落差最大、流速最快的漂流项目。目前全程赛道通过中国船级社权威安全认证。

    最刺激的河道当属古龙峡“神龙回首”河段，180度的大转角，类似雅鲁藏布江大气雄浑的U型大转弯，两岸壁立千仞，形成一夫当关、万夫莫开之势。高速滑行的皮艇像浪尖上的过山车，飞旋在波峰波谷间，在惊魂末定之际又嘎然而止，橡皮艇稳稳跃入一个的清澈水潭里，平静下来，尖叫声似乎还在耳边。

    朋友们，这里就是万丈崖瀑布群。被誉为“粤北第一瀑”的万丈崖大瀑布，单体落差达101米，犹如巨龙从天而降，狂野无羁，气势磅礴。在悬崖壁峭壁撞击下，飞入峡谷激起惊涛骇浪。瀑布两层叠水的第一层如同一幅巨大的素绸，折射着银色的闪光和迷蒙的水雾。第二层似银河飞泻，串串银色珠帘飞溅而下，彩虹幻出，水声轰鸣。穿越500米的观光栈道，游客就可以零距离体验扑面而来的震撼。

    朋友们，这里就是印第安部落。印第安部落的山水情景式演出，再现了印第安民族野性与激情，景区内瀑布边，草屋前，河道中，演员们的“木鼓舞”“圆圈舞”“甩头舞”不间断上演，热力四射，丛林狂欢，野性的呼唤与夸张的特技带您重归原始的秘境。

    朋友们，古龙峡的美食当然是大名鼎鼎的清远鸡，做法一般是白切，以保持农家鸡的原汁原味。

    另外，古龙峡景区内有11平方公里竹海，是当地著名特产——骆坑笋的原产地，赶上鲜笋上市的季节，千万不要错过“春笋焖花腩”这道乡村美食。当然，清甜可口的北江河鲜也是不错的选择。

    Since it was opened to theoutside world, Gu Long gorge ecological tour area has made brilliantachievements. In May 2007, Gu Long Gorge has successfully held National NaturalWaters Rafting Championship (so-called Cup of Gu Long Gorge), which isorganized by the State General Administration of Sports. Thus, Gu Long Gorgewas awarded as "designated track by State General Administration ofSports". In June 2008, it was praised as the "Designated TrainingBase" by the International Extreme Sports League. At the same time, theNo.51 Olympic torchbearer Guo Qinghe and the No.52 Olympic torchbearer HeZhuoqiang who is the world champion have implemented the Olympic torch relay inGu Long gorge.

    In November 2008, Gu Long Gorgebecame "the most attractive drifting in Guangdong ", which was announced byGuangdong Tourism billboard. In April 2009, Gu Long Gorge was officiallyawarded as international rafting base. In March 2010, Gu Long gorge has won thehonorable titles of "the most popular scenic spot for self-driving tour"and "the most exciting rafting".

    Gu Long Gorge enjoys a lovelysituation and it is surrounded by the mountains. With deep valleys, obliquecliff, verdant trees and many others magnificent scenery, it can best reflect apoetic life and it is a tourists’ destination that Qing Dynasty poet Yuan Meispeaks highly of.

    Gu Long gorge rafting, is alsocalled the roller coaster of waves, known as the pinnacle of drifting in China. All ofthe falls reach 678 meters long, the Gu Long gorge features an array of naturalscenery including waterfalls, deep lakes, grotesque stones, towering peaks,jungle as well as rare and endangered plants. You’ll be carried away by thewonderful natural scenery here. Endowed with the lovely natural favors, thetemperature here is kept at 24℃throughout the year, thus it is comfortable even though in summer.     Apart from its honorablereputations or titles, Gu Long gorge launched a newly project in 2010---waterF1 International Speedway. The whole journey is divided into two parts,national challenging speedway and international speedway. With a total of 6063meters long, its drops reach 378 meters and the fastest speed reach 72 km/h, it is the drift project withlongest track, greatest fall and fastest velocity in Guangdong Province. Itsentire track was carried by the CCS (China Classification Society) safetycertification.

    The most exciting watercourse iscalled dragon watercourse, with 180 degrees and the turn of U-shape. Thewatercourse is similar to the Yarlungzangbu River, with precipices onthe both sides of mountain, it is sure to bring you a secret and exciting tour.When you’re enjoying at the swirling between the peaks and valleys, the dinghysuddenly brings you into a clear pool.

    Now we have arrived at the cliffwaterfalls group. The towering cliffs waterfall, with a marvelous fall reach101 meters, is known as "the best waterfall in northern Guangdong". Its very magnificence addedto its majesty, and its towering cliffs seemed to kiss the sky. Here we can seetwo layers of this brilliant waterfall. The first layer looks like a huge plainsilk with the refraction of silver glitter and misty mist. While the secondlayer looks as if a silvery stream gushing out from a water pool cave in themountainside.     Here we come to the Indiantribe. They provide Indian tribal landscape performances and jungle carnival,which show the passion of Indian ethic group. Here the call of the wild and exaggerating specialeffects will show you a return to the primitive.

    One of the flavorful dishes herein Gu Long gorge is the well-known Qingyuan chicken. Especially the slicedboiled chicken, using this cooking method retains the original flavor ofQingyuan chicken and leaves it tasty, smooth and refreshing.

    In addition, there is also abamboo forest with 11 square kilometers in Gu Long Gorge Scenic Area, which isa place producing a famous local specialty -- Luo Keng bamboo shoot.
